Cooperation, teamwork, and the resonant cloud....

Our American self-governance is currently faced with literally thousands of simultaneous and complex issues, that are tending to overwhelm our government and leave American citizens angry and divided. Each of us experiences this explosion of complexity like the characters in the famous story about the blind men and an elephant -- each of us sees parts of a larger whole no one can see completely. We need to work together in the context of this complexity, each of us taking up some facet of social responsibility, getting in-synch with other citizens considering other facets.

The "bullet point cloud" creates a soft but detailed statistical approach to building unity, enabling each of us to quickly define ourselves and our views. This establishes our common ground and helps overcome the narrowing limitations of individual psychology. It brings us into resonance with the larger whole and opens the way to teamwork and cooperation where today we find ourselves in conflict.

Trust and understanding:

I want to understand the other members of the Alliance.

Principles I agree with:

Issues are complicated. Nobody can master every aspect of every issue. To make good decisions, we have to work together and learn from each other.
Issues are interdependent and interconnected. We must approach them in context.
It might be true that people who disagree with me on an issue are seeing an aspect of the issue I wasn't aware of.
Just because I believe something doesn't mean I am right about it. Sometimes it's a good idea just to admit I don't really know for sure.
My personal definition of a word or concept may not be THE definition, so I should strive to understand a speakers' intended meaning of a word or concept, and not impose my own.
There will always be opposing and conflicting positions on issues. This is natural, and a creative part of a healthy politics.
We can work together successfully even if we disagree on issues.

My Values

I support or believe in these values:

All persons must have equal rights
Citizens and their leaders must assume personal accountability and responsibility
Government must reflect the will of the people
No religion or religious value should be imposed on all people
Political decisions affecting society as a whole should be balanced with respect to society as a whole
The will of the people must be constrained by principle
We must learn to work together in a constructive spirit
We must strive to maintain the unity and integrity of our nation
Within reasonable limits, society should maximize individual personal freedom
